So tonight’s workout wasn’t as good as it could been. My left calf is in a lot of pain so I couldn’t jog as fast as I wanted to but I still got my 30 minutes in. I also did: 30 crunches 30 heel touches 30 bicycles 30 leg lefts 30 oblique twists 30 lateral raises 30 front raises 30 tricep extensions 30 bicep curls 30 shoulder presses
Hopefully tomorrow my leg will feel a lot better. Since my Almased won’t be here until Friday and I ran out I’m just going to be eating really light until it shows up. Time for some high fiber bread with some peanut butter & a glass of soy milk to recharge by body!
Tonight I did my 30 minute jog along with my usual ab workout. I got super sweaty so I must be doing something right! Now it’s time to finish my response papers, stalk my ebay account and go to bed. good night!
So, I’ve been working out and trying to be healthier and everything. So far, it’s been going…well, not as good as I’d like it. Anywho, I found this today and decided this is my goal. To be able to run this race in September in DC. It’s a 5k, which isn’t too bad, but I can hardly run a mile in under 12 minutes right now. So, my goal would be to finish the 5k around 20-25 minutes. Yeah. I figure posting it will make me feel bad if I don’t do. Anyone who wants to join me, this race looks like so much fun!
My new yoga pants fit! On the 19th I bought a pair of yoga pants from Victoria’s Secret in a size medium, which I always buy, but I bought a pair that didn’t have the stretchy top. I tried them on when I got home and they we’re so tight. I had a huge muffin top. My friend bought a pair in large that were too small, tried them on today and they fit. That inspired me to try mine on and wow what a difference! I love the no scale victories more than anything.
I also just realized this is my 500th post! This day is turning out so great!
So my long day is finally over! I completely forgot to drink my Almased shake for lunch so I jazzed it up for dinner with some soy milk, frozen banana and a spoon of Nutella. So delicious! I spent the evening searching for scholarships and even applied for a few (fingers crossed!). In a little bit here I’m going to head off to the gym for my 30 minute jog, arms and abs workout! Perhaps I’ll post another picture after.
Today is going to be another long day. It’s Literary Festival Week at my school so I’m required to go to most of the events for my Creative Writing and Women’s Studies classes. This is what my schedule will look like today: 8:30-10:30- work 11-12-class 12-1- poetry reading (drink second Almased shake) 1-2:20-class 2:30-4- class 4-whenever-library
Once I finish my homework it’s back to my work & to the gym! I’ll drink my final Almased shake after that, perhaps with some soy milk and a banana. Tonight is going to be another 30 minutes jog along with abs & arms, since I forgot about arms last night. Have a happy & healthy Monday!
Losing weight and getting in shape does not happen over night (as much as we wish it did). Sometimes we look at the scale and don’t notice a difference. Times like this is when we should strive to work harder, not give up. My number hasn’t changed and quite frankly I’m okay with that. I feel better and stronger. I looked in the mirror today and noticed my neck and collar bones look smaller. To me, that’s progress that I’m proud of. I slip on my eating habits from time to time, but I’m human. These type of things are going to happen but that just means we have to pick it back up tomorrow. I work out every day because I love how I feel after. Stronger, faster, healthier. If noticing a smaller neck is all I need to keep going, you can do it do. Don’t give up, ever.
It’s Sunday so that means my roommates come back! We’re not the best of friends but at least it gives me someone to talk to. Yesterday I successfully did Almased for each meal and didn’t eat anything. Holy freaking willpower. I feel good and I’m going to do it again today. I’m going to try to get ahead on homework and clean today then go to the gym tonight. I just have to continue to drink water and green tea to make the cravings go away. Have a happy & healthy Sunday
Today: 25 minutes on the elliptical 30 minute jog 30 crunches 30 bicycles 30 oblique twists 30 leg raises 30 lay down heel touches? (no idea what they’re called, I just saw this guy do them)
My body hurts in the best way possible. I made my Almased shake a little different today. I decided to replace some of the usual water with half a cup of 2% milk and I added a frozen banana and a spoon of peanut butter for flavor. It’s quite delicious! Today I’m going to hang out at the library so I don’t spend the day in my room doing nothing. have a happy & healthy Saturday!
picking up some soy milk after class to spice up my dinner Almased shakes! I normally mix it with water but for two weeks that’s going to be a bit boring. I decided for at least one shake a day I’m going to use half soy milk half water and a small banana and blend them together. I’ve done it with skim milk before and it’s delicious!
